New Galaxy Z TriFold coming next year, may be available more widely

New Galaxy Z TriFold coming next year, may be available more widely

Samsung made the Galaxy Z TriFold as a proof of concept, as the tri-folding device was only sold in a handful of markets and that too in very limited quantities.

That may be set to change next year as Korean media is reporting that Samsung will launch a new Galaxy Z TriFold next year, and that it would be widely available.

2027 will be foldables galore

If these reports are accurate, then we may see Samsung offer a total of four foldable models in 2027. This will include the Galaxy Z Fold 9, Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 9, and whatever it ends up calling the new Galaxy Z TriFold.

There has been some speculation as to whether the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is the last clamshell foldable from Samsung. Some rumors suggest that we may not get a successor next year, but there's nothing concrete backing up those rumors just yet.

The report mentions that Samsung has shared information about the next-generation Galaxy Z TriFold with its partners and that the device is now in early stages of development. No word as yet on what specifications will be changed but it's believed that the display size will be the same as the original model.

Samsug has reportedly not made a decision as to the wider availability of the new Galaxy Z TriFold, but the report claims there's a possibility that we may see the device being offered in more markets. It's also likely that Samsung may unveil the device alongside the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 9 series in July 2027.
